Visiting Pittsburgh / ピッツバーグ観光

Ed and I went to Pittsburgh for Victoria long weekend. Pittsburgh is located about 6 hours away from Toronto and it’s about the same distance to Montreal. It takes time to go through the custom but the weather was nice so it was fun driving.

Pittsburg city is located by the cliff and it is a great view from on top. Also, some rivers go through the city and it has the second most bridges in the world. (Referred Wikipedia)

The reason to come to the city is because there is a building called “Falling water” by Frank Lloyd Wright closed to Pittsburgh and we visited the building. The building is located about 1.5 hours driving through the country road. It is located by the river and a very beautiful cottage. We sighed a lot wishing to have such a amazing cottage in our dream.

ビクトリアデーのロングウィークエンドに、ピッツバーグまでエドと二人で行ってきました。ピッツバーグはトロントから約6時間ぐらいの距離にあり、ちょうどモントリオールほどの距離。税関を抜けないといけないのでそこで少し時間がかかったのだけれど、天気もよくドライブは快適でした。

ピッツバーグの町は崖のそばにあり、崖の上からの景色は最高。また川が町の中を通り抜けていて、世界でも2番目に橋の数の多い都市とか。（ウィキペディア参照）

この町に来た理由は、近くにフランク・ロイド・ライトの建築物、落水荘と呼ばれる建物がピッツバーグの近くにあり、その見物に行ってきました。建物はピッツバーグから約1時間半ほど田舎町を運転したところにあり、川のふもとでとてもいい環境の別荘。こんな別荘持てたらいいなとため息の連発でした。
